Students to Receive Powerful, Hand-Held Machining Calculators
Zaventem, Belgium. February, 2012: Haas Automation is delighted to announce that Calculated Industries Inc. has joined the Haas Technical Education Centre (HTEC) programme as an Industry Partner, to provide CNC students with sophisticated, handheld machining calculators.
The Nevada, US-based company is known for creating a wide-range of dedicated calculators for industry, including The Machinist Calc Pro (www.machinistcalcpro.com), a handheld device designed to calculate mathematics for precise metal cutting operations. Calculated Industries describes the device as a “powerful and easy-to-use calculator that can be incorporated into existing curricula, providing an effective way to help students develop an understanding of the applied mathematics they will use every day in their careers as machinists.” The Machinist Calc Pro calculates speeds and feeds, thread sizes, bolt pattern hole layouts and a variety of other specific solutions and is available in English, French, German and Spanish.
